Attending a new church can be a daunting experience. You might be wondering what to expect, what do I wear, where do I park, are there activities for my kids, and many other questions. Our F.A.Q. section is meant to be a resource for you so you can know what to expect and feel as comfortable as possible when you worship with us at Trinity. Q: What time should I arrive for church?
A: Our worship service starts at 9:30 so you might what to come a bit earlier
Q: Where are you located?
A: 400 East Seminary St., Richland Center, WI 53581 Click here for directions.
Q: Where shall I park?
A: There is a parking lot at the rear of the Church and there is ample street parking.
Q: Are you handicap accessible?
A: Yes. From the parking lot one will find handicap parking and the door is street level. There is a lift just off the hall to the right when you enter through the parking lot door.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Come as you are!! You are welcome to wear what ever feels comfortable. You will find some folks dressed up in a suit or a dress and some with jeans or casual clothes. God doesn’t have a dress code and neither do we.
Q: What about my children?
A: We have a nursery for children up to four and Sunday School following the kids message at about 9:30 for those children from kindergarten to sixth grade.
Q: How do you describe the church service:
A: We start with announcements, how our members put “feet to their faith”, greet each other and our visitors and pass the peace of Christ (much like a family reunion) express our hearts through music and hymns, hear an inspiring sermon, pray as a corporate body and silently as individuals and after the service share a warm friendly time with coffee and treats.
Q: Will I have to say anything or sign anything?
A: You will not be put”on the spot”, singled out or embarrassed. We always ask our visitors to please sign a “connect card” located in the pews. This is not required.
Q: Can I receive Communion if I’m not a member?
A: Yes, United Methodists invite all who wish, to receive the elements of communion
Q: Is Trinity United Methodist a large church with a large congregation?
A: Trinity United Methodist has a large sanctuary but a small congregation with a rich history.
Q: What is the congregation like?
A. We have older folks who have been members all their lives, younger people who grew up in this church and some who joined us from other denominations, families, singles,those who are just beginning a faith journey and those who are already experiencing a spiritual relationship with Christ and everyone in between.
