There is a semitrailer being loaded this week with nonperishable food and other goods to be taken down to Iowa to help those affected by last week’s storms. The trailer is at the Dairyland lot at 1300 Peebles St. (near the Rockwell plant). Donated goods can be taken to the Dairyland office anytime between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm., and they will be loaded onto the trailer. Donations will be accepted all this week, and the trailer will pull out on Friday.
Food should be nonperishable and consumable without cooking (there is still no power to the area). In addition, other essential goods such as toilet paper, diapers, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc. are welcome.
